Hormone Balancing Nacho Bowl

Welcome to the hormone balancing and detoxifying Nacho Bowl!

Yes your dreams have come true. 

One of the things I love the most about cooking is making classic dishes "healthy" and getting people excited about eating plant based goodness!

This one definitely falls under that category.

Everyone loves nachos right? So why not create a little twist on a classic dish that is often laden with hydrogenated oils and heavy dairy products that promote inflammation in the body and impair digestion, among other things.

This baby, on the other hand, enhances our detoxification abilities with fresh cilantro and radish, helps balance hormones with complex carbs like yams and manage blood sugar levels with healthy fats like avocado.

This dish was super easy to make but also cheap & super quick!

Ingredients

2 yams
4 radishes
1/2 red bell pepper
1/2 green bell pepper
1 green onion
1 handful of mini tomatoes

Cashew Cheese Sauce:

1 cup raw soaked cashews 1โ„2 cup water
Lemon juice from half lemon 2 tbsps nutritional yeast

1 tsp garlic powder Pinch of sea salt

Avocado Sauce:

1 avocado
Juice from 1 lime Himaylan salt + pepper to taste
1 tbsp cilantro
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder

Instructions

Preheat oven to 450F. Slice yams thinly and cook with 1/2 tsp coconut oil until crispy and golden. Set aside in a bowl. Add the finely chopped bell peppers, tomatoes, & radish to the bowl. Blend the avocado sauce ingredients together until smooth. Add the sauce on top. Blend all cashew sauce ingredients and add to bowl. Garnish with finely chopped green onion & cilantro.
